Caroline/Carrie Description:
Size 1-8 years.
Caroline is a button down the front float dress with a high yoke in the back. You can achieve a soft, femine look by choosing soft florals, trimming your collar with lace, and smocking the sleeves (with or without lace edging). If you prefer a more traditional, tailored schoolgirl look choose plaids, micro checks or solid broadcloths. Make white collars or collars out of the same fabric as your dress. White collars will make the dress look more tailored. Finish the tailored look with white cuffs with white or contrasting piping.
Carrie is a more casual sleeveless dress for school, play, or church.
Options are included for smocked sleeves (with or without lace edging), cuffed, or bias banded. Instructions are also included for inserts and smocking on the back. This pattern also includes the geometric smocking design shown on the cover.
