All About Chadwick Heirlooms

Quilters from all around central Virginia and points beyond are finding their way to Chadwick Quilting just west of Richmond in Goochland County. In the store at 12501 Patterson Avenue, are fabrics enough to set one’s mind spinning with ideas and delight. Shoppers find themselves in a pleasant atmosphere that is welcoming and casual as they browse the rows of colorful fabric, displays of quilt patterns, and racks of rulers and notions. It is not long before customers are welcomed by name as they return to the store due to the personal interest that the staff takes in each of them. Having relocated to this current location three years ago, the store has expanded its thriving heirloom sewing and English smocking business to include collections, patterns, and notions for quilting. The shop offers the largest inventory of Kaffe Fassett and Moda products in the state. Other enticing fabrics are from the designers at Free Spirit, Quilting Treasures, Art Gallery, Henry Glass, and Michael Miller to name a few. The selection of batiks is constantly growing in response to the requests from many of the shop’s customers. There is also a growing inventory of Liberty for quilting as well as delightful novelty fabrics for children’s quilts. It is not uncommon for shoppers to come in search of one fabric and be inspired by an unexpected find to be treasured! Customer satisfaction is a goal of the staff at Chadwick Quilting. As seamstresses and quilters themselves, they appreciate the time and thought that goes into every project whether large or small. It is not uncommon to find two or three members of the staff helping to find bolts that may satisfy one customers search for just the right colors or design elements. We Participate in Row by Row

For the past 2 years we have participated in Row By Row, a shop hop which takes place in the US and Canada. Shops design a "row" based on the theme for that year. Anyone who comes into the shop during the shop hop is able to receive a free copy of the row! We also make kits to using the fabrics in our sample and offer a license plate. This is a fun shop hop- there is no fee to participate. You and your friends can collect rows during your travels.
